The Village Markets

The Village Markets is a ‘Best of Queensland Experience’ in 2021. The resort is only a 2-minute drive or 15-minute walk away from this shopping destination. See what the weekend market offers, especially this Easter Sunday, April 17.

On this day, there will be live music by local artists and boutique market stalls by local creators in fashion, vintage, art, beauty, home and lifestyle, as well as street food booths, pre-loved designers and vintage Rack Sales.

Lily Budiasa will perform from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Village Markets, followed by the Buttered Band from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Village Markets is open every first and third Sunday of the month. They are at 1750 Gold Coast Highway, Burleigh Heads.

Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre

The Gold Coast’s only dedicated Aboriginal culture centre is Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre. It is entirely owned and operated by the Aboriginal community. Kalwun Development Corporation, situated on the Gold Coast, is behind Jellurgal.

Traditional descendants of the Yugambeh language-speaking people of the Gold Coast and neighbouring regions permitted and established Kalwun’s Aboriginal cultural bus and walking tours for several years. Previously, trips were geared toward schools and corporate groups. With its highway frontage and oceanfront location, the Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre offers a one-of-a-kind tourism experience on the southern Gold Coast, preserving, promoting, and sharing Aboriginal culture.

You can avail Jellurgal Walkabout, Jellurgal Journey, Jellurgal, and Little Explorers. Each excursion is a guided walk through a beautiful coastal rainforest boardwalk around the majestic mountain. You’ll learn about the Gold Coast’s Aboriginal history and culture, meet a traditional landowner, hear stories, and learn vital environmental practices. It will take you 5 minutes to drive to the Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre.

Burleigh Head National Park

Another attraction that’s a short drive from the accommodation is the Burleigh Head National Park.

Burleigh Headland is a well-known Gold Coast attraction. In 1886, it was designated as a public reserve, and in 1947, it was declared a national park. The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) manages Burleigh Head National Park, which encompasses 27.6 hectares and is governed by the Nature Conservation Act 1992. The park protects habitats, including grasslands, lowland rainforest, and pandanus groves.

The Burleigh Head National Park is one of the most visited parks in the region, providing a popular recreational and educational venue for local and international visitors. During the winter and spring, visitors can view humpback whales breaching in coastal waters, white-bellied sea eagles riding ridge updrafts, and birdwing butterflies feeding on rainforest nectars.

BOUNCEinc

Now, how about a family-friendly indoor activity? Australia’s largest indoor action adventure playground is only an 8-minute drive away.

BOUNCE Trampoline Park Gold Coast is located in a brand new mega venue in Burleigh Waters. It contains all of the things you love about BOUNCE, plus a lot more! A sizeable active play structure is available, complete with a four-lane slide, an indoor ball pit, and a mini Ninja course. There is also a miniBOUNCE Zone, which is developed exclusively for children from walking age to six years old.

David Fleay Wildlife Park

David Fleay’s Wildlife Park is in the heart of Burleigh Heads. It is a one-of-a-kind small wildlife park where you can visit some of Queensland’s natural ecosystems. It ranges from rainforest to bushland, and you get to meet some of the state’s rare and endangered animals. The shy bridled nailtail wallaby, thought to be extinct for almost 30 years, may only be seen at David Fleay’s Wildlife Park.

Meeting and conversing with Queensland Parks and Animals Service Rangers, who look after the park’s distinctive and gorgeous wildlife, is always a great added experience. Another must-see is the Fleays in Flight show, where guests are wowed by the big birds of prey’s wingspans and speed. Visit David Fleay’s, which is a 9-minute drive away.

Inflatable World Burleigh

The last attraction on the list is an 11-minute journey to the country’s largest indoor inflatable playground. This Inflatable World will entice the entire family to bounce and play. Yes, it’s not just for the kids; parents may have a good time with their kids!

Sessions last two hours and are covered by a single entrance price. It enables you to participate in inflatable activities as often as you choose. Supervisors are on hand to ensure that everyone is safe and receives a fair shot. Make sure you’re dressed comfortably and that you’re wearing socks.

When you’re done, stop by the cafe for some delicious O Organic Coffee and munchies like cookies, muffins, packets of chips, ice blocks, and various cold drinks. You can also bring your snacks and a bottle of water. If you want to refill your drink bottle, Inflatable World has a filtered water bubbler.
